I have about 285k to my name. 200k if you exclude retirement accounts. I can prob buy a small house in a rural town or thailand and live off the interest and working a menial job but i fear inflation will force me back to wage slavery.

What is the best use of my money to escape wagedom? I cant think of any small business that the govt wont fuck over. i thought about being a travel vlogger but idk if it will ever take off. investing in rising rate economy seems like a big red flag too. i know this is a dumb place to go for advice but im just so sick of waging.

I make 110k in a very hcol area. its not worth it and my job (automation/controls engineering) is so niche and BORING. i want to kill myself whenever i go to work. i only did this stupid career because i thought it would make me comfy but bidenflation ruined it
