>What would be considered the standard premium per oz at LCS? How much is paying too much?
Before March of last year my LCS charged $0.99 over spot for generic rounds and Maple Leafs, $1.99 over spot for ASEs, 9 cents over spot per silver dime, 24 cents over spot per silver quarter and 59 cents over spot per half. After March, junk stayed the same, the premium on rounds and Maples went up to $2.50 and I didn't even bother asking about ASEs, though he did mention he sold cull Eagles for $2.50 over spot. Low Grade Silver Dollars were priced fairly arbitrarily and the price was only updated when spot went over it, meaning you could get them cheaper than generic rounds at times. At this point I'd say paying over $30-31 per oz before tax is too much at an LCS, but I tend to be especially stingy about premiums. Bought pic related, the last piece of Silver in my LCS, on Saturday for a little under $30/oz before tax.

Decided to go to the LCS today, this was the last piece of Silver in the entire shop. First time it was like this since last March. The only reason it wasn't sold with the rest of the junk is because it's slightly bent and won't fit in a tube. Cost $10, did I do good?
