Are you telling me you could sell 5 cash secured puts on SPY right now for 500 shares if assigned? If that's the case take the money and sell a 7 - 10 dte ATM put on SPY. If it dips harder wait some amount of time or space it out every 20 dollars or so (418 to 400 to 380 so on) and then sell another. Basically you could be having weekly income right now instead of bagholding. If it goes well you could make 200-300 a week doing very little. More if VIX spikes.
You space it out so you don't run out of ammo if the dip get dippier.
Alternatively you could run the strat on whatever ticker you think is safe enough to go balls deep on.
