When you do a stop limit order, it allows you to account for dead cat bounce (for selling) or a blow off top (for buying).

I don't use them. I just use trailing stop orders.

Okay. You do you. I'm just saying that the markets are proving me right. Whole markets have interests group that lobby on behalf of THE MARKET. Ultimately, they act as one and are essentially owned by one. There is a reason why different companies act like essentially sub-divisions of a larger corporation. Farming, healthcare, pharmacuticals, hospitals, insurance... they all work together for larger goals and don't mess with the other markets for a reason. They all have a brand and a market cap, and ultimately they know their place. Pepsi is Coke, but with a specific aesthetic for different people; Aetna has a different market than Blue Cross; they literally CAN'T merge without creating a power vacuum for other companies and they benefit from their long-standing relationships.

Just like, live your life man. Watch the markets as you get more and more fucked in your everyday life and realize that there is no boogeyman under the bed in the form of Jews or whatever, it's just the system we live in and we're all getting fucked in the end.
