Speaking of space memes, when is fucking ARKX coming into play? It's the one ARK ETF that actually seems promising

I'm just now getting into this, started yesterday, me and a coworker are investing 500 dollars each into stocks, and whoever makes the most profit or crashes the least by October is getting 1k, so not huge money we're playing with or for, but i'm still figuring things out. Is common sense a fair thing to rely on in the market? I saw CCL is still doing bad but thought it'd probably net me a decent penny come summer when lockdowns die off and cruises start up again, so I put 300 in there and then heard silver was a good position, so I put the remaining 200 there. Would those be decent ideas to hold with, or am I simplifying things too much before I really sit down and study investment approaches and tricks?
