the company that AAPL, QCOM, AMD, and now INTC, and soon to be MSFT etc etc all rely on. Yes, US is just going to tell China invade Taiwan. It doesn't matter how retarded Trump or Biden is, US itself has a stance that semiconductors is a national security concern (see CHIPS for America act, or the US subsidy for TSM)

do you own any Nasdaq shit? do you worry about this for them too lol

China and US are both deep in each other's pockets. China invading Taiwan was always retard FUD. This isn't Crimea which has no industry that anyone cares about
China's best chances in acquiring Taiwan is peacefully assimilating, but Taiwan is too smart for its own good and it built up an industry so good that the rest of the world relies on it too much.
Taiwan invasion is not a realistic possibility anymore after pic related's statement

A huge Taiwan earthquake is the black swan i'm worried about, not a FUD invasion. Even a power outage for a couple seconds will cost losses in the millions
That may sound like a joke, but seriously look at where Taiwan is geographically lol

>Is it too late to change?
why?
TSM's valuation is pretty much on par with all the other bluechips
It's the kind of boomer shit you DCA into, it's not a meme rally stock. TSM is worth 625 billion right now, and unlike TSLA, it actually got there with proven earnings

We're reaching the point where it's not undervalued by China FUD anymore, but who gives a shit, do you still believe it will grow +50% in 1-2 years? That's what matters.
AMD is fabless so hypothetically unlimited growth, but more and more customers want to make chips through TSM.

I'm bullish on AMD too but I only put money on TSM. I'm getting assigned on my covered call but I'm buying back immediately on the next pullback (along with extra cash from GME profits)

TSM earnings is a non-event, priced in already with the +20% rally since Christmas and info from monthly revenue reports (https://investor.tsmc.com/english/monthly-revenue/2020))
im holding it because it's proven to be my safe haven stock since June

i actually want it to dip on Friday, want to buy more if I end up trimming profit on GME tomorrow. Dunno what else I'd put money in now when TSM's geopolitics risk is getting lower every month, especially when INTC is going to start outsourcing to them now
they're going to be even more vital to US tech shit (AAPL, AMD, NVDA, QCOM, etc also relies on them too much)

i think a lot of people in /smg/ are getting to the idea of "storing their wealth" in TSM as the geopolitics risk become less of a fear
pic related and the Arizona plant getting confirmed

too bad I sold covered calls for 120c next week, hoping it just consolidates after the parabolic move the past couple weeks
