I've been scanning articles for a while now and found a particularly interesting one. Carl Icahn upped his stake and became the largest stakeholder of Caesar's Entertainment (Caesars Palace) in like 2019, which is one of the main Nevada casino businesses. The property is co-invested by Apollo Global and KKR, and Apollo runs the management with pretty much the entire board being ex-Apollo guys.
Now the thing that interests me about this Caesars Entertainment company is that they're historically mob run. Jay Sarno, Jimmy Hoffa, and the teamsters union. So are the guys shorting us unironically organized crime?
