If you buy 1000 shares of stock at $.50 and then they do a 20-1 reverse split to stay above the $1 minimum required for listing, your .50 investment is worth $10 now, and now you now have 50 shares. Now lets say it drops ~30% like MNGA did. Now it's $7 PPS. You didn't fucking make profit because you bought it at .50 cents and it's still at $7. Technically your .50 cent investment is now worth .35 cents and you have lost.

PROTIP: A reverse split will usually, ALWAYS result in mass sell off right after the reverse split resulting in heavy losses
