The USD is guaranteed to inflate higher than BTC or any altcoin. People like Elon Musk are putting money into BTC to protect their wealth. The only thing that can make currencies like BTC unstable is the possibility of US restricting or banning the use of BTC, in which case it will fall behind technologically and young people who seek innovative technologies will flee to countries where such technologies are still available.

If you want to preserve your wealth, holding USD is riskiest investment I see.
