Someone explain this to me. Let's say you sell a put credit spread and the short leg goes ITM while the long leg remains OTM (i.e. the stock's price is between the strike prices). What happens if the buyer decides to exercise early? Wouldn't you have a massive margin call and the long put you bought as safety be useless? Honestly the more I read about options, the more I think I should stay away and stick to boomer boglehead investing.
