How do I redpill my uncle? He is due to sell his farm, land and all his farming machinery/equipment next year for £2.6m, and his plan is to simply buy a small place to live and just keep the surplus cash in a bank account.

I tried explaining to him that inflation will rape his cash, the inevitable decline of pound sterling, and how ETFs/dividends/PMs could keep him comfy for life and save the value of his wealth, but he is too concerned that number-go-down and is adamant that "the banks will look after it."
