So, any updates on FRC? Been awful quiet

>got selected to go to officer cadet school
>rejected the offer and told them I would rather be a specialist so that I’m closer to the men and I’m more interested to be on the ground
>started specialist training course
>awesome 6 months
>passing out parade of specialist school draws nearer
>invited my family down for the parade so that they could put the rank on for me
>they all couldn’t make it
>day of passing parade came
>NCO announced that all friends, family and loved ones to leave their seats and find their son to put the sergeant rank on them
>watched the whole crowd walk past me as I stand at attention
>felt like a pussy and wanted to tear up
>stood there for a good 15mins
>a course mate realised this and came over
>he puts the rank on for me and took a photo with me
>memory still remains till this day after 15 years
