1) It's only capable of 500 miles. If you're going uphill, stuck in traffic or have to keep your trucking running because it's freezing....500 miles is clearly enough. Let alone, some semi's can travel for 600+ miles.

2) You need the infrastructure in place to charge these semi's. Expensive. Plus it takes 30 precious minutes to fully charge it, which cuts into the driver's drive time. If you plan on letting the driver stay the night, you then need to build it in a truck stop or have facilities available for the truck driver (Like showers).

...or you could use the infrastructure available....Just sayin'...
