They want to give a stablecoin option for node operators due to the fear of Link token volatility. They're currently exploring their legal options vis-a-vis the token sale and any potential repercussions with removing the Link token's central role in the system. Look at that chart. It flipped from bullish to absolutely insanely bearish in the space of a month. It's horrible. I feel bad for all the suckers that bought that pump. I bet they're the same people that bought the high in 2017 too. I feel physical pain when I think of how close I came to buying that top. And then watching it rebound to $3 so quickly, it was like mid 2018 all over again. So many bagholders probably thought "we're going to $10 I'm gonna make it I did good!" only to see it cratering again. They're going to hold it to a literal -80% and join the legions of other bagholders - the new REQ. I actually feel deep pity for these people. I know how alluring the thought of immense wealth is and don't blame anyone for taking a chance. It just sucks that people keep getting scammed over and over again in this market. Why did you buy the top again anons? Why!? Poor suckers....

What a way to ring out the year. All hopes and dreams dashed. I was banking on $10 link to afford a holiday but that's off the cards now. Life is cruel.

ETH had ICOs driving demand. What does LINK have?

-Smart Contract Limited pays node operators from its 650 million stash. Pure sell pressure. They literally have hundreds of millions of tokens left to dump.

-Noone is paying to use the eth/usd price aggregator. It's being offered as a free service.

Even when service agreements go live, they're still going to be dumping from their 650m stack to "incentivise" node operators. Actual demand for the token won't be created until enterprise adopters start paying node operators and purchasing from the market - but this is NEVER going to happen because crypto in general is a scam and NO serious enterprise customer is going to be buying LINK from you neets.

Let's face it boys, we did well getting a 20-30x. But it's time to admit that Chainlink is and will remain and PoC for atleast a decade or more.

I've just sold my link stack and have taken 10x short position on link.

I am a firm believer in the technology, but I am also an investor seeking profits. I have 10x my money in less than 6 months. I would be irresponsible not take my profit and preserve my capital.

I mention preserving capital because I believe it has become increasingly obvious that LINK is entering a sustained downtrend, to perhaps sub $1 levels over the coming months. This is mainly due to the following:

- Bitcoin bearish again, will continue to be until sometime post halving.

- LINK has already appreciated significantly, and the market as a whole is looking to take profits. This exerts extreme downward pressure on the price.

- Smart Contract Limited incentivisation program, which sees them paying node operators from their LINK holdings, further suppressing the price as these node operators sell to cover expenses. As more node operators are approved this selling will escalate.

I know there's many on here who disagree, but I felt I had to speak reality to those who would listen.

I can't get into specifics but tomorrow is going to be interesting for chainlink. Keep your eyes peeled because you're not going to want to miss it.

I refuse to buy chainlink on principle. If memes are enough to cause a token to skyrocket then this market is clearly irrational and a scam. I will not be a part of such shenanigans. Honestly what is WITH this generation? What happened to working hard, rearing a family and saving for retirement? What ever happened to actually being rewarded for BUILDING something? This whole world is turning upside down.
