Centralized VPN providers are forced to comply with local regulations. China for example, requires all VPN providers to register with Chinese authorities. Russia, require VPNs to link their servers to the state censorship agency. Sentinel being an anon DAO is impossible to subpoena or force local regulations or place a gag order on.
