I work as a pharmacist and I'll tell you I felt like you did many years ago and I started working MORE to buy rental properties. Over the past ten years I worked enough to own 5 low end properties outright and have a note on 6 others. After paying the notes my rental income is 4200/mo...in about 5 years I'll be 50 and hopefully by then I'll have worked/bought enough for 8k/month and then its downtime.
That's simply what I did after wageslaving for ten years with nothing to show for it and a friend convinced me to get into real estate. I recommend the same for you TODAY...that's the light at the end of the tunnel, no easy answer tho. (your in a good spot too because your job will always be in demand and always a fall back just in case)

This is the secret to a good marriage. Marry your best friend and you'll do non-sex stuff all the time and not think twice about it. Other than that, you'll realize as you get older its difficult to find friends outside of church and marriage...everyone else is probably a business acquaintance.
I'm old enough to be your dad and I can honestly say outside my dogs, I have no friends except fwb's and I don't even want to be with any of them here on a Saturday night. Peaceful living actually.

I went to high school with a midget. Not just any midget, but one with a ten inch dick. Not even larping...he was one of those midgets that had stubby hands and feet but otherwise looked fairly normal with a monster dick. Used to walk around the lockers naked, loved walking in and out of the showers all the time. Thank god I only had the same gym class as him only one year, he was insufferable and I was tall and skinny with an acorn dick hidden in my bush and I hated taking showers. Turns out when I graduated college I met up with his younger sister and she told me he died of aids a few months earlier... Ha, that'll learn him but I'm still fairly broke, but alive, so thats my story. Oh yeah, one girl I knew married some rich older dude, like 40 years older, so she's set.

Heres what I did about ten years ago. I got out of prison and was broke and no job, but I learned how to examine and paper trade forex for the year I was locked up. I worked as a driver for several years as I traded. Gradually I worked my way out of the job and into full time trading. Last year I made over 400k trading...its very very doable, I know. But you hafta stick with it, even thru the failures (i had many, particularly at the beginning).

Bottom line: Stick with a day job no matter how shitty it is and immerse yourself into trading. You literally have it all at your fingertips and DONT GIVE UP.
