Books are helpful in that they change your perspective and way of thinking about things. After a while everything boils down to putting into practice what you know. Reading a shitload of investment and self help books will be a net negative after a certain point in time as you remain stuck in analysis paralysis. Pic related are pretty good. I've read half of these including the textbooks. Great foundational knowledge.

I dropped out of college and began freelancing in my early 20's, saved a lot and started making aggressive moves a few years ago.

TL;DR: Save a lot, live below your means, increase your income stream somehow. It's easier said than done but it's still piss easy.
