If staking v1.0 and CCIP are both out, then it won't take long to reach $100.
This whole ecosystem doesn't work if the Link token isn't valuable enough to secure these transactions, but I still think it'll take more time that we're hoping.
At this point, we don't want speculation driving the price any longer because being at the whim of the BTC cycle isn't how we're going to reach $1000.
People need to detach themselves of the batshit crypto cycle mentality when they asses the value of Link

So he's basically describing the problem that Chainlink is trying to solve, which is creating a system of verifiable truth without depending on one single source.

I've been thinking a lot about what Chainlink is bringing to the table.
You know how in Star Wars there's a "republican credit" system that everyone uses for payment?
If you think through it, as humans continue to progress technologically, the way we represent payment is going to have to change to a digital system at some point.

If you wanted to create a system that was universally acceptable and dependable.
Decentralized systems that represent all types of things, not just money, is the inevitable course that everything will take.
Chainlink is going to help bring this inevitable decentralized system to the world by becoming the way we take data, value, and knowledge and distribute it via a blockchain.

The more decentralized this system is, the more dependable the information becomes.
Just look at 4chan
An uncensored mass of people all contributing to different discussions in a way that everyone's input is valued the same.
The remarkable thing is that the more people contribute to a thread, the faster the truth is derived.
Whenever we all discuss something new or controversial, we end up coming to a conclusion that is pretty much reliably true.
Those truths might be opposed to the narrative being pushed by more curated media, but that doesn't change the facts.

As more and more people start to understand this, it's going to be more and more clear that Chainlink is going to be the most powerful technology of this century.

I'm so glad I held off on buying more link until after the crash.
I had 5k I bought in 2018 for $0.15, and I wanted to rope when it mooned because I could've bough 50k if I wasn't so gun shy.

Now, I'm finally sitting on a decent 20k stack after this last crash, so I'm content.
If it goes to $2 or $3, I'll probably jump on another 5k.
I have a pretty good life right now, so I'm fine waiting another few years before Link hits 4-5 digits, which is inevitable.

Why do all of you think you will make money once staking for Chainlink is released? You realize that staking for Chainlink simply means that nodes are putting a penalty deposit to guarantee the veracity of their data?

So let me ask you, are you running a node? No? Then, how will staking help you?

If you are running a node, how does staking help you? It actually doesn't directly, it can hurt you because you might lose your penalty deposit. That said, it is true that nodes offering higher stakes might receive more jobs.

Regardless, I have no idea why most people here think they're suddenly going to make passive income once staking is released. B-b-but what about Staked.us you might ask? As far as I know this is just the equivalent of lending out your LINK for yield farming - why aren't you doing that now if you want passive income?

So far the only actual beneficiaries of staking will be LP token holders as far as I can see it.

Which OG still here remembers Provide? They're essentially a blockchain solution for enterprise that offers a number of different solutions, from payment rails, smart contract integration, and even oracle networks. Funnily enough, they also essentially have the same logo as Chainlink.

We tried to connect the dots back to Chainlink in the past, but we haven't been able to. If you check their oracle documentation, none of it is listed and it has been said to be "forthcoming" for I believe years at this point.

I was looking through their website today though and I was surprised to find that they do indeed have a connection to Baseline Protocol.

You guys don't get it, do you?

76 pull requests have been completed in the last 8 days. 16 completed today, 60 the past seven days.
That's almost 3% of the entire projects completed pull requests.

"Gee they must be really be excelling at working from home!"

You don't get it.

Hey friends. I'm not sure if you know this about me, but I am looking to become a moderator in the most popular Chainlink Discord (not Delphi XD).

Does anyone know what I can do to try and move up in the ranks??

Thanks in advance guys :)

Coinbase listing LINK would be bad news for Chainlink, and I'll tell you why.

Right now there's a constant stream of people trying to sell their LINK on Binance. Problem is, the order book is so thin that when they try to sell in large amounts the price dumps hard! Coinbase will provide much more liquidity for people to dump their LINK.

Kek. Can you believe Chainlink will actually be listed on Coinbase? No one ever expected this to happen, and now that it's likely (or even possible), it doesn't even matter. A year in crypto is like 20 in boomer stocks.
