I only put in my extra capital, just even right now. Timing on VIX is important, but I also bought for mid December and Jan. Im just looking at the past few months, its pretty clear the market is on a hair trigger, it could easily spike to 40 in a few days for no reason. Just make sure to sell when it pops because it will fall even faster.
