My town actually has two KR stores of the same subsidiary chain less than 2000 ft from each other. I don't know why... My only guess is that one, the older one, is unionized, so closing it would be too much trouble... but they wanted a new store so they just built it down the street. It is a bigger, nicer, and newer facility. There's also another store from a different KR subsidiary a mile away. Very strange.
