This is indeed the future, DeFi ponzi will fail, people can barely open their phones let alone buy a volatile shicoin on exchanges, deposit it into a shit protocol as collateral to mint less than 100% of the shitcoin value and then deposit it into another shit protocol to get variable interest.

In Velo you simply deposit FIAT at an accepted vendor (Trusted Partners) you get a digital representation of that like with a bank, through Lightnet and then to ensure decentralization and immutability you go through the Velo protocol by transferring money to Stellar in the form of Velo tokens (Velo tokens here act as a collateral of the value you deposited in Lightnet). On the other side the other vendor can then bridge the tx back to Lightnet from Stellar and the best part is it can do it in any stable currency and then allow the customer to withdraw what assets he wants(depending on FIAT availability of the respective vendor).

So I have been a Fantom head and thought that this chinks had it going with their DeFi suite, with Xar network but everytime it is the same, use internet magic tokens to collateralize stablecoins. Who will use those stablecoins and do they even think plebs will just buy a volatile token, navigate their interface and then mint another token and then start interacting with the DeFi suite ?

That is completely backwards and Velo rethinks it all. Because instead of making tx yourself, you use one of the Trusted merchants to deposit FIAT and through Lightnet they convert it to that FIAT stablecoin, tokenizing it and then linking it with a bridge to the stellar mainnet where the value is transparently transferred through velo tokens, that are actual collateral for the value that was deposited into Lightnet. After the tx gets to the recipient it get’s through the bridge converted to any other stablecoin the other party wants, at the exchange rate and the other party can withdraw through the endpoint trusted partner the actual FIAT money.

Now this is a very complex system, but it is the only one that abstracts all the blockchain for the basic user and with the CP group connections and the 7Eleven vendor system owned by them they can easily implement it.

Every time I see new scams and biz bros just falls for them. It can be so easy to win when you have a real team backing a real project.

Chasing some PnD won’t make you rich anon, but a million dollar project like Velo that has the backing of the richest families in SE Asia will.
