Why do discussions on Lightning never gain traction? Shouldn't this stuff have hyper focus? Its literally the direction Bitcoin is going and nobody is talking about it. Why is that?

Also all these nodes have ip addresses. Here is the largest one on the network capacity wise (there must be bitcoin in the lightning channel for people to do transactions). What happens if someone decides to DDOS large hubs in the network?
