This is true. Only born in '92 but have a very sharp memory of the 90's and the overall mentality of the country at that time. People were a lot more optimistic back then. Not to mention the boomers I remember spending money like it was water. The extra income people had was also an influential factor in why the 90's were so fashion and style oriented. Only a very small intellectual minority of people knew what was coming. I look at everyone now and everyone is fucking miserable. No hope. No optimism. People like to criticize my generation for this, but they don't realize that we don't see a prosperity when we look forward. I think that's why I always tended to relate more to my Greatest Generation grandparents rather than my boomer parents. They get what we're going through right now, and sadly many of them are 95+ or dead now. I hope a lot of us have the strength that they did to get through this shit.
