Where the light of the PRISM shines represents where you direct your conscious attention and focus, a kind of mind's eye, but instead of taking light it, it shines light out on the object of it's attention (just like a spotlight). This aspect of the deity is very Saturnian (where Saturn's gaze is known to crippling and dire effects).

The Cenobites are a monastic order in service to their god Leviathan. Leviathan rules an extra-dimensional realm called The Labyrinth. In that clip it is depicted as a giant living Lament Configuration in the form of a PRISM, but presumably a god can take many forms. In this movie, it is not a stand-in for the biblical devil, but a true alien being of tremendous power and influence.
