Tell me about it. Trying to finish a ChemE PhD. when this shutdown hit, so that's pushed back toward the end of the calendar year. No idea what to do with that degree since academia is a dumpster fire. And if the doom-sayers are even close to right, we're staring down the barrel of 1929 right now. Not the best job market in a year or two. I've got a paid-off car, about $3600 in PMs salted away, 1k in an emergency account, and I can pocket about 500-700 a month. At least I have no debt and I'm not fat.
I'm starting to realize that my parents probably never understood what they were doing economically, and somehow just avoiding getting punished for it by luck. Like, you have 3 of your kids out of the house for 2 years, and yet you didn't finish paying off your mortgage with your saved money, but found the money to trade out your old vehicles and take on 2 new car payments.

I've noticed that all my work friends (I.E. other STEM grad students) came from upper middle to upper class backgrounds, and so did most of their parents. It's starting to come together why the middle class is disappearing; its just bifurcating.

There are other reasons to be into BTC.

1- to make money from other people who also want to make money
2- to shield your money from inflation aka the "digital gold" crowd. Dunno how this logic works since the price is incredibly volatile.

Only a handful of retards still actually believe in "muh technology" and that this is the future of money when BTC literally can't handle the transaction volume of an average supermarket.
