Here is a perfect example of a Gold source in nature. A small stream is working its way at a this jointed metamorphosed shale. The creek is following the same fault that allowed a quartz vein to form, now the quartz vein is heavily weathered and fractured allowing its cargo of gold to enter the water course. Slowly, this gold will make its way down to the nearby stream and there it will rest until someone comes and finds it. These sources arent usually so easy to spot, but logging road work has done a fantastic job exposing this marvel of an outcrop.
