Maybe, instead of investing in a US bank, I'll invest in HSBC.... hmm..... it is cheap right now....

So we were having a defence discussion the other day. Many anons like myself think it would be sensisble to have some money in defence. We were mostly talking about RTX

HOWEVER

My broker is saying RTX's P/E is around 100 while LMT has a PE of ~15. (Although Yahoo Finance has no P/E for RTX). In terms of market cap, both RTX and LMT are around $100b, which surprised me because I thought LMT was the bigger company

Is it therefore a better idea to invest in LMT if that implies RTX is overprived? Or maybe it's wiser to invest in smaller defence companies or just medium sized ones like NOC?

Basically what I'm asking is, what is the reasoning for choosing RTX out of the entire defence industry?
