Please argue why a forward thinking intellectual human being should short this stock? With their rapid expansion of infrastructure, battery technology, and the 95% plus of self-driving data in their ownership, who can catch up or beat them?On the other hand, why did JB Straubel leave now? What are your guys thoughts about the Tesla Solarcity merger? Do you think it will go through? Will the shareholders approve it?

I'm more interested about the arbitrage oppurtunity, about 28% profit potential from current share prices. Since scty is just about at record lows, i dont think the share price could go much lower. So, even if the merger falls through and I'm stuck with scty shares, i could sell them for what i paid for them.

What do you guys think?

Ok so after a lot of research and calculations, I'm 100% sure Tesla will collapse within the next 3 years. I'd actually bet my entire life savings on it.

But 3 years is a long time to be shorting and long puts are going to be ridiculously expensive.

Any ideas /biz/??
