Digitized financial securities are essentially traditional securities that exist as a digital token on a distributed ledger of an exchange or issuance platform.
What this means is that they don’t require many of the manual offline backroom operations of traditional securities and offer the potential for more transparent, more efficient versions of traditional securities.

In the future, one can imagine that most securities will in fact become digitized securities. In the same way that we today don’t expect physical share certificates to be delivered to our door every time we buy some shares of Apple or Microsoft online.

Traditional securities such as equity, debt, funds, and asset-backed securities can all be digitized into security tokens that can then be issued and traded on exchanges.
This process is enabled by smart contracts that allow for more transparent and cost-effective transactions, while also allowing new securities to be created and issued at a lower cost in comparison to their traditional counterparts.

The STO (Security Token Offering) space will grow by a large margin and it's just not starting to get some real attention.
STO platforms that can issue out these tokens will also share some of the spotlights.
Don't sleep on this, this will most likely be considered the next big step for the financial industry.

The one big STO platform that you need to keep your eyes on (in my opinion) is Tezos.

When did you realize this was glorified vaporware? I started getting the feeling this was non enterprise grade tech when I started seeing all the enterprises join the EEA. The final straw for me was on March 4 when Ernst Young and Microsoft said they were building the Baseline Protocol to onboard other enterprises onto the Ethereum chain. At this point, it seems like the enterprise settlement layer will largely be dominated by ETH and Hyperledger. I can only find on “enterprise” using Tezos and it’s a non profit automotive research company, basically a literal who. Microsoft and EY dedicated their resources and devs to the ETH chain makes it apparent who the chosen chains are. Tezos will hopefully find a niche use among retail users. On top of this all you literally have founding members stating to the community they are leaving because of internal threats. Mix that with the years of lawsuits and this thing just looks almost comical. Glad I made this realization before it was too late
