Contingent beings are insufficient to account for the existence of contingent beings in the ultimate sense. If you add up chocolates, you get chocolates after all and not sheep. Therefore if you add up contingent entities, you are still left with contingent entities, and not an eternal one: there must exist a necessary, non-contingent, supernatural being whose non-existence is an impossibility, and from which the existence of all contingent, physical beings are derived (Hebrews 11:3)

There are only 4 options for the origin of the universe, and any theory you can come up with falls under one of these categories:

1) Option number one, the universe is an illusion, it doesn't exist.
2) Option number two, it is self-created.
3) Option number three, it is self-existent/eternal.
4) Option number four, it was created by someone who is self-existent.

Either the universe doesn't exist, or it created itself, or it always existed, or somebody created it. That's it.

Option one, option two, and option three are impossible. We're left with only one possibility, and that is that the universe exists because it was created by someone who existed before it did, a pre-existing intelligent power, namely God. Matter can't create itself, only an eternal pre-existing God can create.

God exists. Jesus Christ is God, all glory to Jesus Christ, the Alpha and the Omega.
