Or there's just inflow and outflow among all the poolrooms. Perhaps the water isn't stagnant, there is a flow from somewhere. Maybe a pump somewhere in the core? Or at some point it gets inflow from the outside world's precipitation and outflows back into the world, not unlike any other body of water
