Be sure to choose a location that has good gold, location is everything with searching for it. My area kinda sucks, even during the gold rush 19th century era there wasn't that much gold here. But in some places like Canada you can get up to $40 an hour. At that rate it isn't a hobby anymore, it's an actual payable wage.

Imagine actually holding one in your hand. That said though I never really understood the obsession with gold either until I first saw gold nuggets. This stuff really does drive people mad and will always have value, just because of how pretty it looks.
