i appreciate the hopium in a time of need, but Google has many formal partnerships with large companies that do not fill out a form (lol)
this is for companies that Google typically wouldn't have an open line to or be interested in that may have something to offer
with Chainlink, they're keeping an open line with them to gauge the need for decentralized oracles to see if it's something that their users would need for anything else besides bigquery for example
by saying they don't have an formal partnership or any agreement in place with chainlink, they're essentially letting everyone know that they're not directly affiliated with chainlink in any capacity (and implies that they currently have no desire to work with them directly)
that being said, Google isn't necessary right now for Chainlink to be the standard in the next 5-10 years, they just need to keep their heads down and keep working and if it's truly necessary for this world, then it'll all work out
if not, then it's not
right now though, i'm more concerned over the fact that price will be insanely manipulated with defi leveraged short/long positions being visible to all and now crazy leveraged futures being introduced, it always leads to manipulation and the only winners are whale traders

chainlink is great, but it's basically like the qualcomm of the crypto world
projects will use it, but it'll be overshadowed in valuation to the projects that do use it, like any defi project once eth can scale
defi is big, chainlink is necessary for it, but people won't be buying anymore link once eth can scale well and defi lending/borrowing, exchanges, derivatives, yields, etc. can take off even further than they already have and people just buy into all those tokens as investments in what will be huge 'businesses'
still, i'll hold my link till then, it's probably still got a little ways to go left
