>Why would you need privacy for normal stuff?
Even normies feel weirded out by the idea of people being able to see their balance in their wallet. Non-private coins are unusable, imagine a corporation that has all their transactions public, it's basically shouting to the whole world everything that you're doing.

Everyone says this will boom long term.

HOW? What's your vision for how speculation will happen?
I've seen people say "The entirety of the black market will be in monero", but it simply won't, it's pretty much only dark web purchases. No one is buying pot from their drug dealer with XMR.

Do you expect that in 5 years we'll see news headlines saying "Bitcoin is unfit to be a currency; But this new hot product fixes that"? And then talk about how pedophiles use it to buy CP?
Do you expect a world when we'll be able to buy food and clothes with XMR?
Do you think that's less likely than a world where it gets outlawed (as a threat to the government), or price suppressed forever, or simply forgot in the #200's market cap? How do you see it booming?

Isn't that still too slow? I can't stand around for 2 minutes in the grocery store waiting for the girl at the counter to confirm "Ok sir, we've received your XMR."

> You have people buying Dogecoin despite the absurd monetary economics
No one even knows the retarded economics of dogecoin. They don't even know what it is, they just know that it's going up so they buy it.

I think "infinite supply" DOES turn people off from XMR, at the very least a few people. But you're right that it's far from the biggest thing, there are like 5 other things that turn people off even more.
> Regulation FUD
> "I don't want to be associated with literal druglords and pedophiles, you can keep your privacy"
> Price suppression
And most of all
> Wtf it's a crabcoin, why would I buy it

That's true, and Monero is too slow anyway to buy stuff IRL, the transaction time is 2 minutes at minimum. But it's ok for online transactions, and it's easy to see a future when that's all there is. You send someone XMR and they send you a drone with food.

Either way, your goal seems to be simply to get rich quick, so XMR probably isn't for you. From your frustration at "waahh I can't get rich mining it" you probably should frankly just get a better job.
