Copper is used also outside China. 3rd world still needs a lot of wires and so does EV cars that need even moar copper than regular ones. Also copper is needed to maintain (read not start regressing in quality of living) current infrastructure - both electric and electronic plus chemical including medical drugs. But that's long term, not some "uh oh CPP decided to ruin own economy so world no longer needs copper, I better sell" manic depressed mindset.
