No... closing down schools and telling citizens not to leave their home was bearish. Crashing down to 2006 levels was bearish. Might could be they bottom before the US does. They have better control over their people, and better control over who goes in and out.

I don’t think you need to focus on divvies, but I like KO PEP JNJ. Christ, even LMT is at about a 3% dividend right now, trading at a discount because people are suddenly concerned Donnie is going to lose and the Dems will put in someone with less expansion of military spending. Maybe even worry about foreign ability to spend on US fighter jets and satellites.

I like MRK, but Cramer made some excellent points last week about PFE and VZ, which both have staying power and also have an excellent yield. PFE because it’s been so hated, I don’t know the whole story there but it’s been seen as less exciting than Merck or JNJ.

Maybe. But we’d also have less Olympic medals, and our whole pro sports thing would probably suck. Sports are one of the reasons us culture is so dominant as far as I can tell, Michael jordan helped spread Nike and Coca Cola to every corner of the globe. Also, we wouldn’t be on mars. Maybe like 2 guys would be on Mars in some spacelab. I think people would be miserable on another planet, we evolved for this environment. Whatever type of human that evolves to be compatible with foreign planets and space travel would be different from us. It’d be a different species.

Yeah we’re in a process. I think we need to see either that members of government are infected and dying, OR that progress has been made in treatment, and social distancing has been so successful that no one in government is infected or dying... the first scenario looks more likely.
