It just occurred to me that the inflation has been around ever since Jewish merchants figured out they could clip coins. The concept of inflation is the devaluing of the currency by increasing its supply. The clipper and the fiat printer are basically doing the exact same thing. You convince the public the currency is still the same numerical value, while your shave off the metal or devalue by printing more.
