Because everyone knows the US Mint is being sabotaged from within. They run at something like 20% max capacity, that's why the premiums on ASE are so insane. But at any moment they could start to ramp up production, and if they vomit ASEs at 100% capacity, guess what will happen to the premium?
The scarcity on those coins is completely artificial. We can debate on why they are doing this (deterring US citizens from getting their hands on silver, preparing the terrain for CBDCs, simply an awful management since they went full woke, etc..), but the risk will always stay the same : at any time, if the government decide so, they have the industrial capacity to produce way more ASEs.
It's too much of a gambling desu. You can decide to ignore this fact, but the damocles sword will be there, ready to nuke your artificial premium.

ASE are kinda trash desu. The issue is the US Mint have been sabotaged on purpose by (((them))) by handing the production to literal retards. What makes them so valuable is the artificial scarcity they are subjected to via low mintage.
The minute they decide to ramp up the production to normal levels (and they have the capacity to do 10x what they are producing atm), the eagle premium will vanish.
