My air company was a UN contractor, basically UN needed old soviet helicopters to deliver shit from A to B in shitholes like Sudan. Russian pilots didn't speak a word of English back then (circa 2010) so they would hire guys who spoke basic English to be onboard to fill in papers and shit. I was that guy.
I had to work about 10 hours a month, the money was good and I got to see the world in my early twenties. I miss those times.
