the human body is a highly ordered system

consider your body, and the universe, a closed system (universe = earth, or your environment specifically)
due to second law, we know that entropy of a closed system MUST increase
breathing, along with all metabolic processes, are all reactions that cause an increase in entropy of a closed system (you, and your surroundings)
since the net increase in entropy is not happening inside of you, it must be happening to the environment (air you exhale)

tell me, did no one feel addiction to tobacco until they discovered nicotine?
are people able to breath if they are ignorant to the nature of oxygen?
does alcohol only get people intoxicated when they know what C2H6O is?
