I still say just buy Bitcoin Cash since so many early crypto people support it.

sounds like it's not accepted in those places yet. you're mixing up something not being accepted with something not working.

i assure you that if your pizza place accepted diamonds as payment it would work too.

interesting, explain what you mean?

1) BCH works within 10 seconds, which basically mean that you can trick people into it being instant by showing a "confirm animation" on their phone.

2) Less safe doesn't sound good! Dunno what you mean though.

3) Crypto isn't useless at all.

0 conf is a very real thing my friend! As long as it's used for small payments no sane attacker would try to double spend - the cost of even trying to double spend wastes more money than just paying for the thing. And chances of success are so low you'd just end up paying more for your successful purchase.

Writing something like "Network Fee: 1 cent" isn't too much of a bother. I'm sure most people understand that there are fees associated with using VISA/MasterCard too.

unfortunately i don't think we'll see it adopted on a large scale during our lifetimes. but it will come eventually.

1) lightning network isn't actually functional yet and nobody is using it for anything except to be able to say "look, i have a lightning node". there's like 3 places in the world that accept lightning payment (and they get no customers through it).

2) there's still just approximately 30% segwit usage. it's clearly not taking off.

check out live segwit usage here:
https://p2sh.info/dashboard/db/segwit-usage

(lightning network currently requires segwit btw)
