Although you are right about the shit performance of Link and have every right to be pissed off, I am aswell, there definitely is proof of manipulation. This most likely is not THE cause of the bad performance Link but definitely one of the major causes. Just look at every time Link attempts to break out, it gets dumped to oblivion immediately. But the biggest reason is that Link just isn't that popular, fundamentals don't drive performance as much as we want. That's why flashy coins such as BNB do so well.
