Yeah that's an angle I wasn't thinking of but that probably adds an advantage to a 30+ y/o too. The combinations of excessive distractions, worsening curriculum quality due to woke parents, and the outright dopamine barrage zoomers have been exposed to since birth by growing up on smartphones is a pretty big debuff if you ask me. And that's ignoring basically skipping a year (or more) of education due to ""remote learning"" during COVID.

You either get compound interest or you pay it - and right now, brother, you are paying it. After that. $10k in cash minimum. Then buy SPY or if you are risk averse buy bonds. THEN buy individual stocks IF you think you can keep up but honestly if you'll be juggling a cat and a GF (hypothetically) then stick with more SPY and bonds.
