Sc requestor finds a node/s, but says "I want you to put up collateral worth my X million contract". LP or any pool can do infinitely number of those separate requests...but runs out of money well before infinite. So they outsource the "backing" to people/s with X million LINK and at the end of the contract when it triggers, which triggers the payment...it's split %/% between "stakers" and node operator (lp).
