This. It's amazing what few billions (literally nothing with the trillions at their disposal) can do to distract an entire demographic of people who would otherwise be interested in gold and silver.

And of course they pump Bitcoin right when they would be getting out of it and into gold, but instead they file in at the first sign of "one of the herd" starting a stampede on a bull run. That's the only reason Bitcoin is anywhere near 20k. People would be completely fed up with Bitcoin by now without artificial manipulation.
