I live in fucking Brazil, my grandfather was an italian immigrant who came here without a penny to his name and worked in construction work, and now 50 years later he not only helped create one of the blocks in the city, but he owns half of it.

My father used to shine shoes in the city center for change and mix cement at the age of 12 and now he's a cardiologic doctor making 30k a month

I studied my entire life in public schools and worked part time in mc donalds starting third year highschool,washing cars on weekends and going out perhaps 5 times a year with friends to fucking earn some money because my dad would give me none other than pay for my food, house and education, and i amassed 25k Reais, with which i started trading stocks, and now 2 years later i'm up 20k and making bits of money everymonth while going to university, with which i may find no empleyment because my country is in the biggest recession it ever had.
