I've seen some talk and screencaps in prior breads speculating about a silver backed CBDC, but are there any additional bits of evidence supporting the notion? Any updates?

A silver-backed western monetary union would be awesome and indeed deliver us those oft foretold mercury dime duos, but is such a possibility being discussed elsewhere? Any relevant sources?
