You sure seem to be (ahem) invested in the anti-crypto meme, though. You know, there's absolutely no reason someone can't own both, right? I've got about $80K in gold and silver (basis cost probably around $40K), and I put about $3K in Bitcoin back in 2015, which is now worth $340K.

Which is not much higher than it was in 2012, price per ounce isn't even up 10%. (CORRECTION: I did a quick search and it's actually flat with the 2012 price, which hit $1920 in September 2012. Counting inflation, that means gold lost value at the same rate as the USD did. over the last 8.3 years.) I know, I looked at selling some of my Maples back then. Could've gotten $1792 IIRC. Didn't because the coin shop wasn't even offering me spot price.
