i think he's referring to your youth being almost over, which many people fetishize as being the pinnacle of life or some shit. I get what he's saying to an extent because I stress about entering my 30s while feeling like I haven't had all of the youthful experiences that I would have liked, or at least with the frequency I would have liked. Even though many of those experiences are able to be recreated at another age, it'll never be the same as when you were young. But that kind of thinking is also lame and gay, so I would take it with a grain of salt.
