The next big step down is when the Midwest/Deep South cities start outbreaking heavily like NY.
Coasties think the flyovers aren't important, but they feed everyone who isn't California, and the bulk of food processing/packaging is done here and shipped out. No one out here is taking any of this seriously at much at all.
I work for a big food processor/packager, and maybe 1 in 30 even bother with masks. The Governor has only had precautions up for a couple of weeks. The Coof is already nibbling away at the edges of society, but when you start seeing big outbreaks in the Midwest and the hospital poor South and rural areas, THEN shit will get super-real.
